Test Results
We flew/tested the NewTech Double Fench Military kite in a wind range from about 8 to 12 MPH. In this wind range the kite flew steady. The long banner tail and double box delta design improves the flight behavior of the kite. The enclosed instructions state the wind range to be 8 to 20 MPH.
We estimate the recommended/realistic and safe wind range to be about 8 to 15 MPH. FYI: Around 18 MPH sand starts to move/blow across the beach where we test our kites.
Kite Contents: Double French Military kite, three hundred feet of 80 pound test line on a plastic hand winder, clear vinyl storage bag, instructions.
The dimensions of the kite are 68 inches wide x 40 inches high, with a 8 foot banner tail.
The kite requires no modifications to the bridle. Assembly is easy. Insert the fiberglass cross strut and attach the flying line to the bridle. The instructions are clear using both text and diagrams.
The sail and tail are made of ripstop nylon. The sail and banner tails are hemmed for durability.
The meduim sail area of this kite and long tail lends itself best for visual appeal at a height up to about 125 feet. The rainbow design is colorful in the sky.
Note: For a kite in this price range we would have like to see NewTech include a nylon storage bag with cord lock.

Double French Military kite is a good value for children and adults.
