Test Results
We flew/tested the NewTech Cody 29 inch Box kite in a wind range from about 10 to 12 MPH. In this wind range the kite was unstable, drifting/leaning back and forth towards one side or the other. And at times the kite nose dived into the ground. The instructions state the wind range to be 8 to 18 MPH. We estimate the recommended/realistic and safe wind range to be about 6 to 10 MPH. Attaching a fringe tail improves flight stability. FYI: Around 18 MPH sand starts to move/blow across the beach where we test our kites.

Summary: At a club member price of $20.37, the NewTech 29 inch Cody Box is a below average value due to its limited flying wind range and unstable flight characteristics.
