Test Results
We flew/tested the Wavy Gradient Easy Flyer in 4 to 5 MPH and 8 to 9 MPH.  In this wind range the kite went up easily  and flew steady. The instructions do not state the recommended/optimum wind range .  We estimate the recommended wind range to be about 5 to 15 MPH. NOTE: We have not had the opportunity to fly this kite in wind speeds of greater than 9 MPH.

The Jumbo Easy Flyer kite comes with 300 feet of 50 lb test flying line and its own winder.  Assembly instructions are included.  The kite comes with a ripstop nylon bag which can be reused for storage.

The dimensions of the kite are 42 inches wide x 69 inches long which includes its ttached tail.

The kite requires no modifications to the bridle.  It is a fixed bridle.  assembly is quick and easy. It includes 1 strong fiberglass cross-spar (strut) for increased durability. The strut is inserted into strong 'molded' fittings.
The leading edge struts were already in their correct location (at the end of the sleeve). This is documented in the instructions just in case your leading edge struts are improperly located towards the nose/front of the kite.  The leading edges and nose are hemmed with dacron for increased durability. The frame is fiberglass.

The sail is made of appliqued ripstop nylon (for applicable designs).  The sail and tail are hemmed for increased durability.

Due to the large sail area of this kite it lends itself best for visual appeal at a height of at least 100 feet or more.

We were very impressed at the amount of detailed applique for a kite at this price. Note: Certain designs, like the Wavy Gradient and Tie Dye are silk screened.

Summary: At a club member price of $29.89, the Jumbo Easy Flyer kite is a great value for children and adults who want something bigger and bolder than the Regular or Large Easy Flyer.  We highly recommend this kite, it is our favorite of all the Easy Flyer series!
